Delete Note Wildcard

Overview

This video demonstrates the Delete Note Wildcard command in Nitro-CELL, which removes a specified note from multiple models matching a wildcard pattern. This is the bulk version of the Delete Note command, enabling efficient note cleanup across many models at once. The video shows how to construct the wildcard pattern, specify the note to delete, execute the command, and verify the note was removed from all matching models. This is useful during model standardization efforts where obsolete notes need to be removed from an entire model library.

Key Steps

  1. Load all target models into the Creo session
  2. Enter the Delete Note Wildcard command with the model pattern and note name
  3. Execute the command to delete the note from all matching models
  4. Review the status output to confirm which models were affected
  5. Save all modified models to persist the deletions

Tips

  • Verify the note name is correct before running bulk deletion
  • Test with a narrow pattern first to confirm the correct models are targeted
  • Combine with other note commands for comprehensive annotation standardization
