SetCreate Note

Overview​

This video demonstrates the SetCreate Note command in Nitro-CELL, which sets the text of a note on a Creo model and creates the note if it does not already exist. This combines existence checking, creation, and value setting into a single command, making it efficient for workflows where notes may or may not be present on different models. The video shows how to specify the note name and text content, execute the command, and verify the note was created or updated on the model. This is useful for adding or updating annotations, revision notes, or other text-based metadata on Creo models.

Key Steps​

  1. Open the target model in the Creo session
  2. Enter the SetCreate Note command with the note name and text content
  3. Execute the command to create or update the note
  4. Verify the note exists with the correct text on the model
  5. Save the model to persist the note changes

Tips​

  • Use SetCreate Note when working with models that may not have the note yet
  • Note text can include multi-line content for detailed annotations
  • Combine with data worksheets to apply different note text across multiple models
