HideLayer Model Wildcard

Overview​

This video demonstrates the HideLayer Model Wildcard command in Nitro-CELL, which hides layers across multiple models matching a wildcard pattern. Instead of hiding layers one model at a time, this command applies the layer visibility change to all in-session models whose names match the specified pattern. This is efficient for standardizing display configurations across a set of models, such as hiding datum planes on all parts in an assembly. The video shows how to construct the wildcard pattern, execute the command, and verify the layer was hidden across all matching models.

Key Steps​

  1. Load all target models into the Creo session
  2. Enter the HideLayer Wildcard command with the model pattern and layer name
  3. Execute the command to hide the layer on all matching models
  4. Verify the layer is hidden on each affected model
  5. Save all affected models to persist the display changes
