ShowLayer Model Wildcard

Overview​

This video demonstrates the ShowLayer Model Wildcard command in Nitro-CELL, which makes a hidden layer visible across multiple models matching a wildcard pattern. This is the bulk counterpart to ShowLayer, enabling engineers to restore layer visibility across many models in a single operation. The video shows how to construct the wildcard pattern, execute the command, and verify the layer is visible on all matching models. This is useful for standardizing display configurations or restoring visibility after batch processing operations.

Key Steps​

  1. Load all target models into the Creo session
  2. Enter the ShowLayer Wildcard command with the model pattern and layer name
  3. Execute the command to show the layer on all matching models
  4. Verify the layer is visible on each affected model
  5. Save all affected models to persist the display changes

  • Use this command to restore layer visibility after batch HideLayer operations
