ShowLayer Model

Overview​

This video demonstrates the ShowLayer Model command in Nitro-CELL, which makes a hidden layer visible in a Creo model. This is the counterpart to the HideLayer command, restoring the display of all items on the specified layer. The video shows how to enter the ShowLayer command with the layer name, execute it, and verify the layer items are now visible in the graphics window. This command is useful for restoring display configurations or making specific geometry visible for review, export, or presentation purposes.

Key Steps​

  1. Open the model containing the hidden layer
  2. Enter the ShowLayer command with the layer name to display
  3. Execute the command to make the layer visible
  4. Verify the layer items appear in the graphics window
  5. Save the model to persist the layer display state

Tips​

  • Use ShowLayer to restore layers that were hidden during automated workflows
  • Combine with HideLayer to create complete display configuration scripts
  • Layer visibility changes are saved with the model when you save
