Delete Relations Model Wildcard

Overview​

This video demonstrates the Delete Relations Model Wildcard command in Nitro-CELL, which removes all relations from multiple models matching a wildcard pattern. This is the bulk version of the Delete Relations command, enabling efficient relation cleanup across many models at once. The video shows how to construct the wildcard pattern, execute the command, and verify that relations were removed from all matching models. This is useful for preparing models for release where relations should be stripped to prevent unintended modifications.

Key Steps​

  1. Load all target models into the Creo session
  2. Enter the Delete Relations Wildcard command with the model name pattern
  3. Execute the command to remove relations from all matching models
  4. Review the status output to confirm which models were affected
  5. Regenerate and save all modified models to persist the changes

Tips​

  • Use this command as part of a release preparation workflow to strip relations from released models
  • Test with a narrow pattern first to verify the correct models are targeted
