Nitro-BOM Batch Processing - Active Session

Overview

This video covers Nitro-BOM's active session batch processing mode. This mode processes all models currently open in your active Creo session — every part, assembly, and drawing that's loaded in memory. Instead of specifying a file list or directory, Nitro-BOM simply iterates through everything in your current Creo session and performs the configured operation on each model. This is convenient when you've already loaded the specific set of models you want to work with, perhaps after opening an assembly or manually loading a group of related files. The video demonstrates how to trigger active session batch mode, configure the operation, and process all session models in one pass. This mode is the quickest way to batch-process models you're already working with, without needing to set up file lists or directory paths.

Key Steps

  1. Open the Creo models you want to process (or open an assembly to load its components)
  2. Launch Nitro-BOM and select the Batch Processing - Active Session mode
  3. Configure the operation: export, create, modify, or delete parameters
  4. Execute the batch to process all models in the current Creo session
  5. Review the results and save any modified models

Tips

  • This mode is the fastest way to process models you're already working with
  • Open an assembly first to automatically load all its components into the session
  • Remember to save all modified models after the batch operation completes
