Assemble Model Wildcard

Overview​

This video demonstrates the Assemble Model Wildcard command in Nitro-CELL, which adds multiple components to an assembly using wildcard pattern matching. Instead of assembling components one at a time, this command finds all models matching the specified pattern and assembles them into the active assembly. This is useful for workflows where a set of similarly named components need to be added to an assembly in bulk. The video shows how to construct the wildcard pattern, execute the command, and verify that all matching components were assembled correctly. It also covers how placement is handled when assembling multiple components via wildcard.

Key Steps​

  1. Open the target assembly in the Creo session
  2. Enter the Assemble Model Wildcard command with the component name pattern
  3. Execute the command to assemble all matching components
  4. Verify all expected components appear in the assembly tree
  5. Save the assembly to persist the changes
