AssembleAllRoot Model Multi-Wildcard

Overview​

This video demonstrates the AssembleAllRoot Model Multi-Wildcard command in Nitro-CELL, which extends the AssembleAllRoot command to support multiple wildcard patterns in a single operation. This allows engineers to assemble components matching several different naming patterns into the root level of an assembly without running separate commands for each pattern. The video shows how to specify multiple wildcard patterns, execute the command, and verify that components from all patterns were assembled at the root level. This is ideal for assemblies that contain components from different naming families that all need to be included.

Key Steps​

  1. Open the root assembly in the Creo session
  2. Enter the AssembleAllRoot Multi-Wildcard command with multiple patterns
  3. Execute the command to assemble components matching all specified patterns
  4. Verify all expected components from each pattern appear in the assembly tree
  5. Save the assembly to persist the complete structure

Tips​

  • Use multiple patterns to capture components with different naming conventions in one step
  • Order your patterns logically to make the command easier to read and maintain
  • Test each pattern individually before combining them into a multi-wildcard command
