DeleteSuppressed Model
Overview
This video demonstrates the DeleteSuppressed Model command in Nitro-CELL, which permanently removes all suppressed components from an assembly. Unlike the Suppress command which temporarily hides components, DeleteSuppressed removes them entirely from the assembly structure. This is useful for cleaning up assemblies where suppressed components are no longer needed, reducing file size and simplifying the assembly tree. The video shows how to execute the command, verify which components were removed, and save the cleaned-up assembly. It also covers the important distinction between suppressing and deleting, and when each approach is appropriate.
Key Steps
- Open the assembly that contains suppressed components
- Review the assembly tree to identify which components are currently suppressed
- Enter the DeleteSuppressed command in the execution worksheet
- Execute the command to permanently remove all suppressed components
- Save the assembly to persist the cleanup
Tips
- This operation is permanent — ensure you truly want to remove all suppressed components
- Review the suppressed components list before executing to avoid unintended deletions
- Use this command as a final cleanup step after confirming the assembly configuration is correct
