Copy Parameter Wildcard

Overview​

This video demonstrates the Copy Parameter Wildcard command in Nitro-CELL, which copies a parameter value from a source model to multiple target models matching a wildcard pattern. This extends the standard Copy Parameter command to handle bulk operations, making it efficient to propagate a parameter value across many models at once. The video shows how to define the source model and parameter, construct the wildcard pattern for target models, and execute the command. It also demonstrates how to verify that all matching target models received the copied value.

Key Steps​

  1. Open the source model and all target models in the Creo session
  2. Enter the Copy Parameter Wildcard command with source details and target pattern
  3. Execute the command to copy the parameter to all matching target models
  4. Review the status output to confirm which models received the value
  5. Save all affected models to persist the changes
