Get Parameter

Overview​

This video demonstrates the Get Parameter command in Nitro-CELL, which reads the current value of a parameter from the active Creo model and writes it back into the Excel worksheet. This command is essential for extracting data from Creo models into Excel for reporting, comparison, or further processing. The video shows how to specify the parameter name in the execution worksheet, execute the command, and find the returned value in the designated output column. Get Parameter is commonly used in data collection workflows where engineers need to gather parameter values from many models into a single spreadsheet for review or analysis.

Key Steps​

  1. Open the target model in the Creo session
  2. Enter the Get Parameter command with the parameter name to read
  3. Execute the command to retrieve the parameter value from Creo
  4. Find the returned value in the output column of the worksheet
  5. Repeat for additional parameters or models as needed
