Delete Parameter

Overview​

This video demonstrates the Delete Parameter command in Nitro-CELL, which removes a specified parameter from the active Creo model. This is useful for cleaning up obsolete or incorrect parameters that are no longer needed. The command permanently removes the parameter and its value from the model. The video shows how to enter the Delete Parameter command in the execution worksheet, specify the parameter name, execute the deletion, and verify the parameter was removed. It also covers considerations around parameters that are referenced by relations or other model features, and what happens when you attempt to delete them.

Key Steps​

  1. Open the target model in the Creo session
  2. Enter the Delete Parameter command with the parameter name to remove
  3. Execute the command to delete the parameter from the model
  4. Verify the parameter no longer exists on the model
  5. Save the model to persist the deletion

Tips​

  • Check for relations or features that reference the parameter before deleting
  • Use Exists Parameter first to confirm the parameter is present before attempting deletion
  • Combine with wildcard variants for bulk parameter cleanup across many models
