tbl_parameter : COPY

Overview​

This video demonstrates the tbl_parameter COPY command in Nitro-CELL, which copies parameters between Creo models using data from an Excel table. Each row in the table specifies a source model, target model, and the parameter to copy, enabling engineers to propagate parameter values across multiple models in a single execution. This is useful for standardizing parameters across a model set, copying design data from a template model to production models, or synchronizing parameter values between related components. The video covers setting up the copy table, executing the command, and verifying the parameters were copied correctly.

Key Steps​

  1. Create an Excel table with source models, target models, and parameter names
  2. Ensure all source and target models are in the Creo session
  3. Enter the tbl_parameter COPY command referencing the data table
  4. Execute the command to copy parameters between the specified models
  5. Verify the parameter values were copied correctly to the target models

Tips​

  • Source and target models must both be in session for the copy to succeed
  • Use this to propagate standard parameters from a template to multiple models
  • Save target models after copying to persist the parameter values
