Save To Released Model

Overview

This video demonstrates the Save To Released Model command in Nitro-CELL, which saves the current model directly to a released directory without renaming it. Unlike SaveAsTo, this command preserves the original model name and simply copies the saved file to the release location. This is useful when the model name should remain consistent between the working and released directories. The video shows how to configure the released directory path, execute the command, and verify the file was placed correctly. It also explains the difference between Save To Released and SaveAsTo Released, helping engineers choose the right command for their release workflow.

Key Steps

  1. Open and finalize the model in the Creo session
  2. Enter the Save To Released command with the target release directory
  3. Execute the command to save the model to the released location
  4. Verify the model file exists in the released directory with the same name
  5. Confirm the working copy remains in its original location

Tips

  • Use Save To Released when the model name should stay the same in both working and released directories
  • Ensure the model is fully regenerated and saved before releasing
  • Combine with validation commands to check model integrity before release
