tbl_model : SAVE

Overview

This video demonstrates the tbl_model SAVE command in Nitro-CELL, which saves Creo models listed in an Excel table. Each row in the table specifies a model to save, and the command processes all rows to save each model to its current location. This is essential at the end of any batch automation workflow to persist all changes made to models during the session. Instead of manually saving each model in Creo, the command handles the entire list in one execution. The video shows how to set up the model list, execute the save, and verify all models were saved successfully.

Key Steps

  1. Create an Excel table listing models to save
  2. Ensure all target models are in the Creo session with pending changes
  3. Enter the tbl_model SAVE command referencing the table
  4. Execute the command to save all listed models
  5. Verify the save status for each model in the results column

Tips

  • Always run a save command at the end of batch automation workflows
  • Models must be in session to be saved
  • Check the status column for any save failures due to file locks or permissions
