ResumeChildren Feature

Overview

This video demonstrates the ResumeChildren Feature command in Nitro-CELL, which resumes all suppressed child features of a specified parent feature in a Creo model. When a parent feature has child features that were suppressed along with it, this command restores all children in a single operation. This is useful for complex models where feature hierarchies need to be managed as groups. The video shows how to identify the parent feature, execute the command, and verify that all child features were restored in the model tree.

Key Steps

  1. Open the model containing the parent feature with suppressed children
  2. Enter the ResumeChildren Feature command with the parent feature name or ID
  3. Execute the command to resume all suppressed child features
  4. Review the model tree to confirm all children were restored
  5. Regenerate and save the model to persist the changes

Tips

  • This command targets feature-level children, not assembly components
  • Regenerate after resuming to ensure geometry reflects all restored features
  • Use this command to restore complete feature groups in a single step
