Suppress Feature Wildcard

Overview​

This video demonstrates the Suppress Feature Wildcard command in Nitro-CELL, which suppresses multiple features matching a naming pattern in a single operation. This is efficient for models with many similarly named features that need to be suppressed together, such as all hole features or all cosmetic features. The wildcard pattern matches against feature names in the model tree, and all matching features are suppressed at once. The video shows how to construct the pattern, execute the command, and verify the results in the model tree.

Key Steps​

  1. Open the model containing the features to suppress
  2. Enter the Suppress Feature Wildcard command with the feature name pattern
  3. Execute the command to suppress all matching features
  4. Review the model tree to confirm the correct features were suppressed
  5. Regenerate and save the model to persist the changes

Tips​

  • Use specific patterns to avoid suppressing unintended features
  • Check parent-child dependencies before suppressing groups of features
  • Combine with Resume Feature Wildcard to toggle feature groups on and off
