ResumeChildren Model Wildcard

Overview​

This video demonstrates the ResumeChildren Model Wildcard command in Nitro-CELL, which resumes all suppressed child components across multiple parent models matching a wildcard pattern. This extends the ResumeChildren command to handle bulk operations, making it efficient to restore children across many sub-assemblies at once. The video shows how to construct the wildcard pattern for parent models, execute the command, and verify that children were resumed across all matching parents. This is useful for large assemblies with many sub-assemblies that need their children restored simultaneously.

Key Steps​

  1. Open the assembly containing multiple parent models with suppressed children
  2. Enter the ResumeChildren Model Wildcard command with the parent name pattern
  3. Execute the command to resume children across all matching parent models
  4. Review the assembly tree to confirm children were restored for each parent
  5. Save the assembly to persist the changes

Tips​

  • Use specific patterns to target only the intended parent models
  • This command processes all matching parents, so verify your pattern carefully
  • Combine with Regenerate to update the full assembly geometry after resuming
