ResumeChildren Feature Wildcard

Overview​

This video demonstrates the ResumeChildren Feature Wildcard command in Nitro-CELL, which resumes all suppressed child features across multiple parent features matching a wildcard pattern. This extends the ResumeChildren Feature command to handle bulk operations, enabling engineers to restore feature hierarchies across many parent features at once. The video shows how to construct the wildcard pattern for parent features, execute the command, and verify that children were resumed across all matching parents. This is useful for models with many feature groups that need to be restored simultaneously.

Key Steps​

  1. Open the model containing multiple parent features with suppressed children
  2. Enter the ResumeChildren Feature Wildcard command with the parent name pattern
  3. Execute the command to resume children across all matching parent features
  4. Review the model tree to confirm children were restored for each parent
  5. Regenerate and save the model to persist the changes

  • Use specific patterns to target only the intended parent features
  • Regenerate after resuming to ensure all geometry updates are applied
